CIS Management is a relatively new company. We were formed in December 2004 after merging local existing, forward thinking businesses in our field.

In our experiences, we found many things in common across the industries we were working in. Firstly, since the introduction of Self Assessment, Accountancy and related businesses had become very impersonal and most had turned into mass processing style operations featuring a very “In the door, out the door” policy. We discovered very quickly that service was a serious issue with most people, not to mention the Solicitor style costs per time basis becoming dominant.

So CIS Management was formed to provide an alternative option. We are professional as many firms are, but we also provide a more personal service to better serve our clients. We also understand that we are working for you, as a client, rather than HM Customs and Revenue or any other authority. We work as accountants for our clients, not the Tax Man! Our cost structure is unique, focusing on charging for what we do for our clients, not how much time we waste doing it.

After the business for Accountancy and Book Keeping was up and running, we constantly found that many businesses suffered from similar problems internally, bad administration systems. It was an obvious move to provide internal support, to get businesses running more efficiently as well as maintaining records in a way that would reduce costs all round for all sizes of business.

It was at this stage that we fully acknowledged it was the Construction Industry that needed the most help. With ever increasing legal requirements, amongst other things, we decided that it was this industry that we would specialise in. The world of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme).

The last steps in getting our business to where it is today was to set up our procedures and systems to deal with all our clients wants and expectations. We use some off the shelf products in terms of software, but again we expanded to have our own software development so that we could achieve anything and everything requested of us. We also registered with the relative bodies for the Industry we are in. As registered formation agent with ‘Companies House’, and a registered agent and software developer with ‘HM Revenue & Customs’ we can deal with all issues in a quick and easy fashion. Well, as quick as can be expected in dealing with the Inland Revenue etc.
